Some good news on climate change, in addition to the reprieve Coronavirus is giving the environment (temporarily), less energy demand is allowing countries to quit coal altogether, with Sweden and Austria closing their last coal plants this week. Six to ten more countries in Europe at least intend to stop all coal generation in the next few years.
For our hardcore conservationists (looking at you, @Tahiry Langrand) there's tons of ways to make a difference this Earth Day even from home. The Nature Conservancy will plant trees for you, has tons of interesting stories, and you can even support petitions and pledges to keep conservation at the forefront of decision-making.
Conservation International has a special Earth Day offer to triple any donation you give today only. They also have a massive number of sustainability topics you can learn more about, or take action today.
